Amazing Portrait of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (aka one half of french duo Daft Punk) by the very talented *fleuraime . The portrait took her over 100 hours, and includes the lyrics to 10 of her favorite Daft Punk songs – a true labor of love.

Harvard Smartypants Samuel Arbesman created this amazing take on our Galaxy – in the guise of a subway map. I was re-reading Carl Sagan’s novel Contact recently, essentially a series of arguments about SETI wrapped into a story, and he alludes to some sort of cosmic Grand Central Station

Harvard Smartypants Samuel Arbesman created this amazing take on our Galaxy – in the guise of a subway map. I was re-reading Carl Sagan’s novel Contact recently, essentially a series of arguments about SETI wrapped into a story, and he alludes to some sort of cosmic Grand Central Station. That, coupled with my longtime interest in transit maps, got me thinking about all of this.
